“At CKD I found a chaburah of בעלי כשרונות who are עמלים בתורה ויר"ש and a hanhalla who put forth all means available ברוחנית ובגשמית for the yungeleit to reach their full potential in תורה, עבודה וגמילות חסדים. The caring and selflessness more resemble what you expect in a family than in an institution. CKD is a unique kollel in that it is not focused on one area of learning, but on all areas of Torah, and on developing skills to help others. All areas of עבודת השם are encompassed within the world of CKD.”

I was born in 1984 and was raised by my wonderful parents in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. For elementary school I attended the Yeshiva of Brooklyn. At age 13, I left Brooklyn to dorm in the Yeshiva of Staten Island where I learned for 6 years under the leadership of R’ Reuven Feinstein, R’ Gershon Weiss and many other extraordinary rebbeim. At age 19, I left America and headed to Eretz Yisroell, where I learned in the Yeshiva of R’ Dovid Soleveichik and attended his shiur for 3 years. After this time, I returned to America to continue learning at Beth Medrash Govohah of Lakewood. There I remained for six months, until deciding to return to R’ Dovid Soleveichik for one more zman. After that zman, in which I got engaged and married to my Eshes Chayil, I started learning in Reichman’s Kollel. I remained there for over 7 years and finished learning numerous mesechtas in depth. I then joined the Kollel of the Center for Kehilla Development, where I am now continuing to learn and finish mesechtos, in addition to learning halacha in depth and enjoying the broad range of limudim.
