“The high level of accountability in learning does wonders for our productivity, while at the same time each avreich is given space and opportunity to develop his unique strengths. The roshei kollel spare no effort to provide us with anything that might benefit us, including bringing in notable talmidei chachamim to be meshamesh, offering close and clear guidance in mussar, constantly providing inspiration for our wives, and much more. Rav Ariel Ben-Horin

It was a happy day in North Miami Beach, FL in June of 1987. The following 28 years and counting have offered not less than a delightful upbringing in an Israeli/Sefardic home, wonderful teachers and rabbeim along the way, and a chance entry into a one-of-a-kind super-kollel.

After high school in Miami I spent two years in Aish HaTorah, Yerushalayim where I gained much from the dynamic experience in general, and specifically from my Rabbeim: R’ Noach Weinberg, R’ Dovid Schoonmaker, and R’ Lehrman. Following Aish, I moved to Baltimore, MD in 2007 to learn in Ner Yisroel where I stayed the next seven years, the majority of which were spent learning by Rav Tzvi Berkowitz. During my time in Baltimore I made great efforts to gain the utmost from the many wonderful rabbonim and mechanchim around town, and also received a Master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Joining the CKD in 2015 has proven to be a great step forward in my quest to grow and ultimately serve others.
